| On the basis of the literatures of all ages and combined with the modern research, of hypertension, this article indicated that fire was an important pathomechanism trait in initial and midtrimester hypertension. According to pharmacology and drug effect, we screened fire Chinese herbs which could clear liver and drain fire, clear heat and vesolve toxin, and made Newly Supplement Uncaria Tablet (NSUT),through modern techniques. 48 cases of hypertension patients were treated by NSUT, another 20 cases were treated by the compound fumula dogbane tablets. The conclusion indicated that NSUT was superior to the control group in lowering blood pressure and improving general sympotoms. It would improve left ventricular hypertrophy, left ventricular diastolic function, and rectify metabolic disorder of lipid and reduce viscosity of blood. Animal experiment indicated that NSUT could lower the blood pressure of big mice and there was significant dose effect relationship. It could improve cardie muscle cell hypertrophy and cardie muscle myofibril. In addition, the article demonstrated the mechanism of improving left ventricular diastolic function combined with modern pharmachological research.
