| Objective: By clinical research to study the relation between insomnia of nutritive Qi and defensive Qi disharmony syndrome and temperature changes in sleep - wake cycle. Methods: Clinical observation for a month, by 24-hours dynamic surveying on the temperature changes of the thirty insomniac who is of nutritive Qi and defensive Qi disharmony syndrome in the first week and the fourth week, calculate the average respectively, note the lowest temperature at night (T), the extent of temperature ascending in morning (A T) and the time(t). Compare with the changes of T, AT, t in the first and fourth week treatment. And do statistical work to study the relation between insomnia of nutritive Qi and defensive Qi disharmony syndrome and temperature changes in sleep - wake cycle. Result: T descends obviously, A T ascends and t moves up obviously by treatment. PSQI descends obviously. Conclusion :Insomnia of nutritive Qi and defensive Qi disharmony syndrome, owing to pathological transformations happened in nutritive Yin, that is deficient of nutritive Yin . It renders that nutritive Qi and defensive Qi circulate inconsistently. At night, defensive Qi cannot circulate within Yin-channels or viscera following nutritive Qi. Then, the nourishing function of nutritive Qi will be weakened. Nutritive Qi and defensive Qi cannot help the five zang - organs to constrict their mental Qi. It will floatand insomnia at night will happen. In morning, defensive Qi flows outside nutritive Yin. Because nutritive Yin is deficiency, defensive QI will invade and stay in nutritive Yin. Nutritive Qi cannot flow outside Yang-channel or body following defensive Qi. The warming and defending functions of defensive Qi will be weakened. Then in day, people cannot be vigorous. Accordingly, it will affect the temperature in sleep-wake cycle. It will appear that temperature descending is less at night, the extent of temperature ascending in morning is not enough, and the time is later. By taking advantage to harmonize nutritive Qi and defensive Qi, we can induce normal sleep, and make temperature changes in sleep-wake cycle tending to the healthy crowd. |
