ObjectiveTo assess the value of serum TPS in the diagnosis ,clinical stages and metastasis and prognosis of tumor (breast cancer, lung cancer and gastrointestinal tract tumor). Methods1.The levels of serum TPS , CA153, CEA,NSE and CA199 were determined with ELISA2. The clinical values of serum TPS in the diagnosis ,clinical stages and metastasis and prognosis were assessed by studying the selected proper patients who were suffered from breast cancerjung cancerand gastrointestinal tract tumor and healthy people respectively. Results1 .The levels and positive rate of serum TPS and CA153 in breast cancer group are significantly higher than the normal healthy group (P<0.001) . The positive rate of serum TPS is highest (87.8%). The positive rate of serum TPS and CA153 mount up gradually in I, II, III, IV stage of breast cancer. The positive rate of serum TPS and CA153 when taking place metastasis is significantly higher than no metastasis. The Sensitivity of serum TPS is significantly higher than that of serum CA153. The positive predictive value of this two markers is 96.3% and 96.1% respectively.2. The levels and positive rate of serum TPS, CEA and NSE in lungcancer group are significantly higher than the normal healthy group(P<0.001) . The positive rate of serum TPS is highest (84.7%). The positive?rate of serum TPS, CEA and NSE mount up gradually in L IK I IK IV stage of lung cancer. The positive rate of serum TPS. CEA and NSE when taking place metastasis is significantly higher than no metastasis. The Sensitivity of serum TPS is significantly higher than that of serum CEA and NSE. The positive predictive value of this three markers is 83.6% ^ 76.7%and 84.8% respectively.3.The levels and positive rate of serum TPS, CEA and CA199 in gastrointestinal tract tumor group are significantly higher than the normal healthy group (P<0.01) . The positive rate of serum TPS is highest (80.3%). The positive rate of serum TPS, CEA and CA199 mount up gradually in KIK IIK IV stage of gastrointestinal tract tumor .The positive rate of serum TPS, CEA and CA199 when taking place metastasis is significantly higher than no metastasis. The Sensitivity of serum TPS is significantly higher than that of serum CEA and CA199 . The positive predictive value of this three markers is 78.9%, 74.4 % and 70% respectively.4.Ninety breast cancer patients and seventy-two lung cancer patients were followed for three year.The survival rate of 3 years of positive TPS(54.4%) is lower than that of negative TPS(88.2%). The die rate of high concertration TPS (70%)is higher than that of low and midial concertration TPS(26.3%and 11.8%). Conclusions1. TPS is more sensitive than other markers in the diagnosis of breast cancer, lung cancer and gastrointestinal tract tumor, which is benefical of diagnosis by the higher positive predictive .2. The positive rate and level of serum TPS mount up gradually in I , II, III, IV stage of this three cancers.3. The positive rate of serum TPS when taking place metastasis is significantly higher than no metastasis.4. the survival rate of 3 years of positive TPS(54.4%) is lower than that of negative TPS(88.2%). The die rate of high concertration TPS (70%)is higher than that of low and inidial concertration TPS(26.3% and 11.8%).
