Lung cancer is one kind of malignant tumor with serious threats to human health which ranks the first in malignant tumors with the high incidence and high mortality and shows an increasing trend in the worldwide. Lung cancer is divided into two types, small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and about80%of lung cancer is the NSCLC. In a recent epidemiological survey, lung cancer is the fastest rising cancer in the aspect of incidence and mortality in China. Therefore, it is particularly important for early detection and differential diagnosis in lung cancer. At the present stage, as a result of remarkably depending on the histological and radiological methods in the diagnosis of lung cancer,70%-80%of patients with lung cancer are diagnosed in an advanced stage and missed the best treatment time. With the development of molecular biology and immunology, it has increasingly shown significantly clinical value for serum tumor markers in the process of diagnosis, efficacy and prognosis of lung cancer, however, up to present, there is no a specific tumor marker with high sensitivity and specificity to being useful in the early diagnosis of lung cancer. In order to improve the early diagnosis of lung cancer, the serum levels of CEA, NSE, and CYFRA21-1were evaluated in and statistically compared. Objective:Estimating the value of combined detection of CEA, NSE and CYFRA21-1in diagnosis and prognosis of lung cancer. Methods:The serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), neuron-specific enolase (NSE)and cytokeratin19fragment (CYFRA21-1) of141lung cancer patients was detected by electrochemical method.60healthy persons were control group. Results:The concentrations of CEA,NSE and CYFRA21-1(ng/mL) in lung cancer group were observably higher than those of the control group(P<0.01).The positive rate of CEA, NSE and CYFRA21-1of lung cancer patients was40.5%,50.3%,51.2%. The positive rate of the combined detection was85.2%. The concentrations of CEA, NSE and CYFRA21-1in post operation group were remarkably lower than those before (P<0.01).Conclusion:The positive rate of the combined detection in preoperative diagnosis of lung cancer was obviously raised than single detection. The three tumor markers were significantly reduced for post operation, but still higher than normal levels.
