Objective: Intergrated contemporary rehabilitation theory with traditional acu-moxi therapy, needling antagonist, moxing spasmus muscularis combined with rehabilitation to observe the acu-moxi's effects on membra spasticity of post-stroke patients.Method: The cases were randomly divided into the treatment group (A) and central group (B).Using acu-moxi and exercise in A while using exercise treatment in B. In needling, upper extremity selected Jianyu(LI15), Binao(LI14), Tianjing(SJ10), Quchi(LI11), Waiguan(SJ5), Hegu(LI4), Baxie(EX-UE7), moxa Quze(PC3), lower extremity selected Huantiao(GB30), Weizhong(BL40), Yanglingquan(GB34), Zusanli(ST36), chengshan(BL57), Jiexi(ST41), Kunlun(BL60), moxa Sanyinjiao(SP6). A period of treatment was 10 days and both were treated two periods. Evaluated every cases according to the following items before treatment and after two periods of treatment: (1) Modified Ashworth Scale for upper extremity spasticity, Clinical Spasticity Index for lower extremity spasticity.(2) Kendall method for manual muscle testing. (3) Brunnstrom degree for membra function .(4) Eight degree for ability of daily life.Result: After two periods of treatment .(1) The spasticity scores of both A and B were very significant(P<0.001)and the scores were verysignificant between A and B(P<0.05).(2) The scores of manual muscle test and Brunnstrom were very significant between A and B.(3) ADL scores were not significant between A and B.
