Objective:To study the effects of Stasis-Resorvin and Phlegm-Eliminating Granules(SPG) on the levels of plasma P-selectin(Ps) and thrombocytic function of Atherosclerosis(As) in rabbits and to investigate the possible action mechanisms.Methods:Thirty-two healthy male New Zealand big-ear white rabbits (Weight:2.0-2.5kg) were randomly divided into four groups,they are normal group ,model group,control group and treatment group. Every group has eight animals.The rabbit model of As was established afther being fed high fat diet for twelve weeks. Normal group was fed with regular rabbit diet. Other groups were fed with high fat diet throughout the experiment. After twelve months the models were established. The treatment group was given SPG through filling stomach two times every day for six weeks.The control group was given west medicine.And the normal group and the model group were given water instead. The different levels of plasma Ps, PAGR, PADR. and serum lipids were examinied two times during the experiment. At the end of the study,the rabbits were killed and the pathologic changes of vessel intima were observed under light microscopy and electronic microscopy.ResultsiThe levels of plasma Ps ,PAGR,PADR and serum lipids in As rabbits(Model group,Control group and treatment group) were significantly higher than normal group (P<0.01,respectively); Ps was positively correlated with PAGR and PADR (r1=0.793,r2=0.783, P<0.05),PAGR was positively with PADR (r=0.715, P<0.01); The levels of Ps, PAGR, PADR, Serum lipids were significantly less than in model group(P<0.05);The pathologic changes of vessel intima in treatment group were considerablelower than that in mordel group under light microscopy;The levels of Ps,PAGR,PADR were lower in treatment group ,but there was no significant differences between control group and treatment group(P>0.05).Conclusion: SPG can repress the activity of Ps,reduce thrombocytic active, prevent the primary factor of thrombogenesis and stop the primary factor of thrombogenesis and stop the beginning and development of AS; SDG can also decrease the platelet aggregation and platelet adherence, and can prevent thrombogenesis,...
