The Clinical Analysis To Expression Of TSGF,CEA And CA199 In Patients With Colorectal Carcinoma

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumor whose morbility keeps rising .the mortality of colorectal cancer is about the forth to fifth among all the malignant tumor. So it is very important to early diagnoses and treatment of colorectal cancer .Tumor Specific Growth Factor(TSGF)is a substance which can stimulate the vessel of malignant tumor . According to the growth of malignant tumor , the TSGF will be released into the blood , and there is also a corellation of TSGF level with with the difference of tumor and stage of tumor . so measuring the serum level of TSGF is very significative . Carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) and CA199 are both nonspecific antigen which can find in the serum of colorectal cancer , and it still corellate with the type of pathology ,lymph metastases and distant metastases . so to study the serum values of tumor growth factor(TSGF) ,carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) , CA199 and their clinical significance in the diagnosis and prognosis in patients with colorectal carcinoma is very important .Materials and methodsA total of 93 colorectal cancer serum were obtained from patients before operation in colorectal surgical department of the first afflicated hospital of zhejiang university in the upper half of 2001 . the serum levels of tumor specific growth factor (TSGF) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and ca199 were measured by way of RIA . The positive value of TSGF is above 64U/L, and the positive value of CEA and CA199 is above 5ng/ml and 37ng/ml respectively .ResultsThe sensitivity of TSGF , CEA, CA199 was 40. 86%, 35. 48%, 16. 13% respectively. The combination of any two markers had higher sensitivity than the use of one marker , such as the sensitivity of combination of CEA and TSGF is 59. 14%, and the sensitivity of combined marker of three was 64. 52% .there is significant correlation between expression of serum TSGF and lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis . there is alsosignificant correlation between expression of CEA and lymph node metastases and Dukes' staging. So do CA199 with Dukes' staging and the distant metastases. there is significant correlation between the expression of TSGF and CEA (p=0. 01), and there is no correlate between TSGF and CA199.ConclusionCombined measurement of three markers can enhance the sensitivity significantly and has important clinical value in the diagnosis and prognosis of colorectal carcinoma...
