Clinical Observation Of The Therapeutic Effect On Liver Fibrosis Of Chronic Viral Hepatitis With Herbal Compound Rougan Decoction

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect and mechanism in the type of liver-kidney yin deficiendy combining blood stasis of liver fibrosis of chronic viral hepatitis with herbal compound Rougan Decoction.Methods: Sixty-eight patients with liver fibrisis of chronic hepatitis B were divided into two group randomly. Tirty-four patients in the treatment group were treated with herbal compound Rougan Decoction for three months, while thity-four patients with interferon for three months as control. Clinical syndromes, liver function, serum levels of liver fibrosis index and abdomen ultrasonic were determined before and after treatment for each patient.Results: In treatment group, score for clinical syndromes were reduced from 8.63?.85 to 3.20?1.95 after three months treatment, clinical syndromes were improved, the difference between the treatment group and the control group was significant(P<0.01). Serum levels of liver fibrosis indexes such HA,LN,PII1P were reduced,and serum liver function such as AST,TBil,A/G were reduced also, ALB was increased, the difference between the treatment group and the control group was significant(P<0.05-0.01). The inner diameter of trunk in portal vein and splenic thick in treatment group was reduced after three months treatment, the difference between the tow groups wassignificant(P<0.05-0.01).Conclusion: Herbal compound Rougan Decoction is effective in improving clinicalsyndromes and liver function, resisting and mitigating the liver fibrisis of chronic viral hepatitis.
