Experimental Research On Therapeutic Effect Of TanWeiShu In Treating Diabetic Pneumogastric Neuropathy

Objective:To discuss the therapeutic effect of TangWeiShu(TWS) on pneumogastric neuropathy of the diabetes rats by observing its influence on motilin (MOT), gastrin (GAS) and electrogastrogram(EGG) and disclose the pathogenesis of DGP and the functional mechanism of TWS by benefiting qi and nourishing yin, discending stomach qi , to offer objective evidence for the application of traditional Chinese medicine in treating DGP. Method:We selected 17 samples among 54 healthy male Wister rats randomly and put them in normal control group, while the remains were made models by being celiacly injected Alloxan(120mg/kg)for continuous two days after fasting . Totally 30 diabetes models were established after about one week and were divided into diabetes group^ Domperidone group and TffS group. The rats in the four groups were respectively treated by T\^ Domperidone and distilled water. Eight weeks later, we depicted electrogastrogram and measured the level of MOT and GAS in the blood with radioimmunoassay(RIA) and observed on: (1) natural condition of the rats; (2)fasting blood-glucose in the morning (3) the amplitude and frequency of the slow wave of the EGG (4) the level of MOT and GAS in the blood .Results:The symptoms of over drinking, polyphagia, polyuria, diarrhoea and emaciation of the rats in model group were obvious. The rats in normal control group were normal. One rat in TWS group died, two rats in Domperidone group died.There was not significant difference between TWS group and Domperidone group when compared the fasting blood-glucose.The amplitude of EGG slow wave of TWS group was obviously higher than that of Domperidone group(P<0. 01).The levels of MOT and GAS of TWS group was lower than those of Domperidone group(P<0. 05). Conclusion:TWS surely had the function of promoting the recovery of DGP. It was manifested by:1. Acting on the smooth muscle by reinforcing its peristaltic amplitude and releasing the symptoms directly.2. Promoting the recovery of the damaged autonomic nerve directly.
