Medication Use System: Study Of Complexity And Evaluation Indexes System

Pace of decision making on medication use is miscellaneous, and the process is complex. The curative effect of medication is determined on biological effect of itself, approach of administration, and its quality. On the other hand, there are a lot of complications, such as knowledge of medication, society, economy, administration, psychology etc., will impact the quality of medication use and itself. At the same time, there are a lot of insecurity, inefficacy and diseconomy in the process of medication use. So that medication use system (MUS) is complex system that is difficult to realize and administrate. The science of complexity affords us for the methodological principle and theoretic principle sustain that used to solve this difficulty, open out its essence and disciplinarian.There are two parts in this paper. First of all, we introduced the development, basic theory and the main views of the complexity science. Considered MUS as a complex system, adopt the theory on the science of complexity; realize MUS from the angle of complexity studies. Pointing out that it is a complex system which has the complexity of structure, relation, behavior, circumstance. The views of quality control theory that nicer quality root in design and manufacture suggest us that applied the theory of complex system management, control and decision making to mange the complexity of MUS. So we put forward the project on its management, control, as following: build the circumstance that adapt to control, pay attention to its systemic character, prompting innovation. In the second part, based on the features of complex system,and the principles of founding the evaluation indexes system which is the qualitative and quantitative metasynthesis. Combined with the theory of evaluation system, we establish a set of scientific and rational evaluation indexes system of MUS according to the frequency statistic method, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP method), Delphi method. Then, the paper discussed the method of evaluation of MUS.It is the first time that the paper raises the view that we can use the principles and methods of the Complexity Science to study MUS, the paper selected a new angle, new theories, and new methods to realize MUS. The evaluation indexes system of MUS we founded is scientific, impersonal, and exercisable. It can afford the scientific method and the policy advice for the board of health to supervise, administrate, and evaluate the quality of medication in hospital. So that hospital can enhance and induct the good practice of medication use.
