The Application Of Immune Enteral Nutrition On The Gastric Cancer After Radical Operation

Objectives: Nutritional support in patients with gastric cancer should not only improve the nutrition state but also ameliorate immune response. The objectives of this study is to investigate the effect of immune-enhancing enteral nutrition on the gastric cancer after radical operation and the method of enteral nutrition.Methods: Thirty patients with gastric cancer were randomised into 2 groups. In group 1( control group), 15 cases had accepted standard enteral nutrition after radical operation through jejunostomy. The other 15 cases ( test group) were fed the immune-enhancing enteral nutrition after radical operation through jejunostomy. All the enteral nutrition of the 30 patients were under the control of pump. The study continued for 7 days. The energy and nitrogen dose were equal between two groups. The nutrition state and immune response was evaluated in two groups before operation and on postoperative day 1 , 10. The data were analysed by Spss 11.0. At the same time to observe the effect of enteral nutrition through jejunostomy under the control of pump.Results: The postoperative nutrition state and immune response in the two groups was better than preoperative ( P<0.05 ). And the postoperative nutrition state and immune response in test group is better than those in control group, the differences were significant ( P<0.05 ) . The result of 30 patients who accepted enteral nutrition support is good.Conclusion: The nutrition state and immune response of patients who accept radical operation for gastric cancer can be ameliorated by enteral nutrition. The immune-enhancing enteral nutrition can improve the nutrition state and immune response than the standard enteral nutrition. The enteral nutrition through jejunostomy under the control of pump after radical operation for gastric cancer is safe, reliable, simple.
