In the present paper , the difference of the major nutrition composition, growth and shape among three kind of arthrospira(SM S8 S6-2) and one kind of spirulina(FACHB351) has been studied, the results show:There have little difference on the total carbohydrate content of four kind of algae, their contents are 12%-18%, moreover, the total carbohydrate content S8>SM>S6-2>FACHB351; there are also more resemble in the content of photosynthetic pigment, the total content of pigment is 90-129(mg/g d.w), however, the content FACHB351>S6-2>S8>SM. There have more significantly difference of total amino acid content among four kind of algae(FACHB351 , S8, S6-2, spirulina of wudi),the content of spirulina FACHB351 and the spirulina of wudi is obviously higher than the content of arthrospira S8 and arthrospira S6-2. AS far as the fatty acid composition of the four kind of algae(FACHB351, S8 ,S6-2 ,spirulina of wudi) is concerned, the percentage of unsaturated fatty acid (C16:l) of spirulina FACHB351 is obviously higher than the other three algae, it is 34.14%.There are more resemble in the batch culture growth curve of the four king of algae,but there have little difference on the specific growth rate, the specific growth rate FACHB351>S6-2>S8>SM. With the growth of the four alge,the curve of pH, -carotenoid content and chlorophyll a content is also resembly .so is it as to last biomass of four kind of algae, comparatively, the Spirulina FACHB351 is the most high alge as far as its biomass content is concerned.There have significantly difference on the microscope and scanning electron microscope structure of the four kind of algae, especially , the shape of spirulina FACHB351 is obviously different from the other three kind of Arthrospira. Under scanning electron microscope, the contractions on the algae filament can be obviously observered in the three kind of arthrospira (SM, S8, S6-2),but it can not be observered in spirulina (FACHB351).
