The Effects Of Zhuhuang Granule No.Ⅱ On The Expression Of MMP-2 And TIMP-2 In Lesions Of Psoriasis Vulgaris

Objective: " zhu Huang Granule-II"(ZHG-II) was another Chinese traditional medecine compound, combing with modern iatrology research headway. It possessed the effect of clearing away heat and toxic material, supplementing qi and nourishing yin, fostering liver and managing qi, going up and making down to lower leveh. as well as connetcting the outside and the inside ,which is according to :he characteristic of psoriasis pathogenesis.Methods: 36 cases who were psoriasis vulgaris patients were divided into two.Groups:ZHG-II group ( Zhu Huang group )and Yin Xie Ling group ( Yin xie group) at random. MMP-2 and TIMP-2 in the Lesions of patients were studied before and after treatment by immunohistochemical technique-Avidin Biotin comples (ABC),and 15 normal controls were tested also, acting as normal compare group.Results: The MMP-2 and TIMP-2 of all cases in both of the Zhu Huang group and yin xie group decreased after treating,but the improvement in zhu huang group was more remarkable than that in Yin xie group (P<0.01) . these functions are partially effsctive mechanism of ZHG-II.
