Objective :To investigate the curative effects of Shenmai Oral Drug on chronic congestive heart failure and its mechanism of action, and compare the curative effects of injection Oral Drug Methods: Patients with chronic congestive heart failure were randomly divided into three groups: The control group was treated with general medication (Cardiac Glycoside.Cardiac Diuretic. Expander drug. ACEI. β-blocker) ;The treatment group I (Injection group) based on general therapy, using Shengmai Injection 60ml +5% Glucose 250ml infused intravenously once a day; The treatment group II (Oral drug) based on general therapy, using 6 capsules of Shenmai Oral Drug orally three times per day. The therapeutic course was 20 days. Changes of serum Malondialdehyde(MDA) and Super-oxide dismutase(SOD),and heart rate, MBP and heart function, 6MWT were observed using Color Doppler echocardiogram measure LVEF.LVESD.LVEDD. Changes of Ventricular diastolic early and late maximum blood flow rate were observed. Result: There was asignificant difference between control group and therapeutic group (p<0.05). The content of Malondialdehyde(MDA) and the activities of Super-oxide dismutase(SOD), and LVEDD.LVESD.6MWT.E/A of patients in the therapeutic group were obviously improved after treatment. There was a very significant difference between the treatment group and the control group (p<0.05). Conclusion: Shenmai Oral Drug is more effective than Shegmai Injection on treatment of congestive heart failure, decreases the content of serum MDA and improves the activities of SOD. Regulate Oxygen free radical metabolism and clear Oxygen free radical is a mechanism of action on treatment of heart failure.
