To evaluate the antihypertensive effect of yangxueqingnao on blood pressure of renovascular hypertensive rat(RHR) and investigate the mechanism.We used RHR as model .Bp was measured by tail cuff methods..After being treated with yangxueqingnao one time,we measured blood pressure in the next 4 hours and the 24th hour. And then ,we measured it once a week. After one month,the ALD, ET, NO, CGRP in plasma and the Angll in heart tissue was determined by radio immunoassay. Result:1 .The blood pressure was decreased after being treated with yangxueqingnao one time.In the second hour,the blood pressure of the RHR reduced obviously .The peak was in the third hour. It can be decreased for 1 SmmHg.The middle and the dose groups decrease the blood pressure less than that of the high group.2.After being treated for one month,the blood pressure can reduce gently with 22mmHg. The peak is in the fourth week. All the three groups can dereased blood pressure on RHR.3 After stopping treating ,the blood pressure was rising.At the fourth day ,it was similar with the model group.4.ALD and Angll in the RHR was decreased after one month's treating.All the groups can decrease them. Comparing with the model, Only the high group was significant.5 All the groups of yangxueqingnao can raise NO and CGRP while they can reduce ET. The high group was obvious. Conclusion:INot only one time but also one month's treating can both decrease the blood pressure of RHR gently. After stopping treating , the blood pressure rised slowly.2 By decreasing the ALD and Angll,Yangxueqingnao can arrest RAS.lt maybe the mechanism of the antihypertensive effect.SYangxueqingnao has effect on vascular substance .It maybe the mechanism.of yangxueqingnao's protective effect on viscera.
