Objective To analyse the clinical and pathological Characteristics of HER2 expression and observe prognostic significance of HER-2 in breast cancer . Methods The expression of HER-2 gene in breast cancer was examined in 371 cases with immunohistochemical techniques LASB .The relationship between HER-2 and Estrogen receptor, Progestin receptor Was analyzed . Moreover the influence of HER-2 upon prognosis was observed. Results the rates of HER-2 expression in young premenopausal patients and in ER. and PR. Negative were higher. The HER-2 positive patients' survival term obviously short than in the HER-2 negative patients. Conclusion There were significant associations of HER-2 expression with advanced clinical stage, Positive auxiliary node status and the absence of hormone receptor in breast cancer. Detection of HER-2 gene expression could be arranged as a regular pathological examination in breast cancer. Combined with auxiliary node. Its expression can be an independent progestin factor and its results can be used in determining the gronosis and planning the treatment programmer.
