The restenosis of bare coronary stents after surgery has restrict the development of cardiology, but the stents with coating which are called the second generation coronary stents has given a better way to solve the problem and attracted more attention. There are many kinds of coating materials of coronary stents,which give different curative effects. Among the coatings the drug-eluting stent has been the spotlight in recent years. Big achievements have been made abroad, but there is no complete study on coating materials within our country. Nearly all the drug-eluting stents used by many big hospitals in our country are imported from other countries, these stents are very expensive and give a big ecnomic burthen to the patient. So we will try our bset to develop the second generation coronary stent especially the drug-eluting stent. Such a job has much realistic meaning. We have made studies on the preparation, the mechanics performance, the decomposition performance, the compatible performance and the drug-releasing performance of the coating materials, and then we made study on the configuration of the material and the conclusion are as follows.1. The existence of oxygen during the preparation of the materials has great impacts on the molecular weight and the decomposition performance of the coating materials. So nitrogen is needed during the preparation of the coating materials to protect the reaction.2. The studies on the mechanics performance of the coating materials show that the amount of methacrylate methyl ester, methacrylate butyl ester, methacrylic acid and BPO have impacts on the mechanics performance of the coating materials.3. The studies on the decomposition performance of the coating materialshow that the methacrylic acid has impacts on the decomposition performance of the coating materials.The studies on the compatible performance show that furan is a good kind of solvent.4. The tests show that the integrated mechanics performance of the coating material can meet the requirements for practical use of the drug-eluting stent. The drug-releasing tests show that the coating material we prepared can carry and release the drug which effective period can meet the requirements for curing the disease when the coating material is coated on the bare stent. The studies on the configuration of the material show that the material we prepared is a kind of polymer comprises three kinds of monomers and further confirm our analysis about the experimental results.
