An Economic Analysis Of Cooperative Medical System In Rural China

The cooperative medical system is the fundamental system arrangement of rural medical security system in China. Since the early 1980s,the collapse of cooperative medical system has brought about serious consequences. To solve the problem of rural medical security, Chinese government attempted to restore the cooperative medical system. Unfortunately, this goal wasn't attained for various reasons. This paper analyzes the primary disincentives preventing cooperative medical system from restoring, and offers some suggestions for establishment of new cooperative medical system.
