Research On Psychological Intervention Model In XiaoTangshan Hospital Of PLA

Objectives1, Intervene the SARS(severe acute respiratory syndrome) patients and health-care workers with integrated psychological methods, study the intervention effect of this model, and explore the effective psychological model employing to the person in crisis.2, Evaluate the intervene effect of the psychological behavior training employing to the health-care workers who working in the SARS ward, and explore effective psychological model employing to the person in acute stress incident.Methods1. Totally 680 patients in SARS were involved in this study(379 male, 301 female). Intervene the experimental group with the integrated psychological methods, including counseling on phone(active and passive), handing out papers and crisis intervention face to face. Evaluate all the subjects' mental health states with SCL-90 twice, when they were hospitalized and when they leave hospital. At the same time evaluate the intervention effect with self-made scales.2. Totally 265 health-care workers were sampled in this study, 131 of them were chosen to intervene with psychological behavior training by randomized controlled sampling, measured all the subjects with SCL-90 before and after the training.Results1. When they were first hospitalized, all the patients gain significant higher marks than the local norm on all the nine dimensions of SCL-90. And there is no significant difference between the experimental group's and the control group's inall the nine dimensions. When they leave hospital, experimental group gain lower marks on several dimensions than control group(t=2.1 — 5.7, P<0.01 — 0.05).Results also show that counseling by active phoning gain the highest efficient(95.7%), intervention by paper gain the lowest efficient., and trained health-care workers and psychologists also gain high efficient on the intervention( > 80%). The intervention efficient has significant difference among the different culture degree people, The lower culture degree people gain lower efficient than the higher culture degree ones on Phone active, phone passive and paper intervention, but the effect of trained health-care workers and psychologists has no this trend.2. Results of the research Two show that before the training both groups' score in somatization, obsessive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety and phobia anxiety is higher than that of the local norm, there is no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. But after the training, there is no significant difference between the experimental group and the local norm except somatization; the control group's score in five dimensions somatization, obsessive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, hostility is higher than that of the local norm; the training group gain higher scores in five dimensions somatization, obsessive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, hostility than the control group after the training.Conclusions1. Patients in SARS are badly need the psychological help, the integrated psychological model has be proved to be very effective.2. Psychology behavior training can improve the psychology quality of front-line health-care workers effectively.
