Objective: To investigate the occupational stress and mental health in textile workers in Yancheng city and analyze the influencing factors.The aim is to provide a scientific basis for taking effective occupational stress interventions,improve working conditions and promote their physical and mental health.Methods: A cluster sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on women workers in a textile enterprise in Yancheng in 2016.We used the General Survey,Mclean's Occupational Stress Questionnaire and Goldberg's General Health Questionnaire.Data was Doubling entried in EpiData3.1 and SPSS13.0 a software was used for summary and statistical analysis.Results: A total of 463 textile workers were surveyed,and 444(95.90%)were included.The average age of the participants was(40±7)years old,and participants with 40~49 years old accounted for 58.78%.The average length of service was(13±9)years,mainly in 10 to 20 years,accounting for 31.53%.Workers in first-line production accounted for 72.30%,and 85.81% had the shift work.Most of them worked in 8 to 10 hours per day,accounting for 70.49%.In the workplace,the main exposed occupational hazards were noise,dust and high temperature,accounting for 39.94%,32.55% and 21.09%,respectively.Among the participants,59.23% thought that the working environment was safe,65.09% was satisfied with the existing working conditions.71.17% of the participans thought that the work was repetitive.65.77% did physical exercise <1 time / week or no exercise.53.38% were no active during leisure.In addition,64.19% often washed their hands after work and before eating,and 42.79% never ate or drank in the work place The pressure of life was medium(52.25%)and large(25.90%),and family happiness is mainly medium(52.03%)and strong(43.02%).63.74% of the rparticipants sleep for 6 to 8 hours every day,65.99% of the quality of sleep in general,60.81% of the respondents living in general tension.The abnormal rate of mental health in this textile enterprise was 54.73%.There were no significant differences among age,marital status,educational level,monthly household income,working intensity,working hours,family financial burden,living pressure,family well-being and sleep quality.However,The mental health of women workers in different positions,working class types,length of service and sleeping time had statistically significant differences(P <0.05).In brief,mental health abnormalities rate was significantly higher in production workers than in managers.Shift workers significantly higher than that of the fixed-day shift workers.Mental health abnormalities was significantly lower in the working-age less than in10-year group's and other age groups,sleeping for more than 8 hours of mental health disorders was significantly higher than sleep for 8 hours and below.High rate of occupational stress,low coping ability and low job satisfaction of women textile workers mental health abnormal rate is higher,the trend test were statistically significant.Logistic multiple linear regression analysis showed that the main influencing factors of mental health of textile women workers were occupational stress,job satisfaction and marital status.Conclusion: Textile women workers are exposed to a series of adverse health factors that may affect their health,such as long-term exposure to cotton dust,prolonged standing,long working hours,shift at night shifts,lack of working machines and working hours,occupational tensions and affect the health status of textile women workers.They also faced the dual health stress of occupational stress and occupational hazards.The abnormal rate of mental health of textile women workers was high,accounting for 54.73%.There were more negative statements than positive statements.To prevent and reduce occupational stress measures,we should first raise awareness and strengthen government responsibilities.Second,we shoul optimize the business environment and promote the healthy development of staff mental health.Third,we should carry out mental health education,embody humanistic care.Fourth,to business and social trinity prevention system should be established.Fifth,we shpulf mobilize the subjective initiative of employees,and improve coping ability.
