ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of hyperoxic Ringer' s solution on the rabbits and patients with inhalation injury at early post-burn stage.Methodsâ‘  The rabbit models of severe smoke inhalation injury were established according to the methods reported by Burn Institute of the Third Military Medical University. 77 rabbits were randomly into four groups, i. e. A group (normal, n=5), B group (with Ringer' s solution treatment, n=24), C group (with hyperoxic Ringer' s solution treatment, n=24) and D group (without treatment, n=24); in B, C, and D groups.â‘¡ The indexes which we detected at the ld, 2d, 3d, 5d, 7d,10d after injury were as follows: the vital signs , blood gas analysis, measure of WBC and PMN in the peripheral blood, ratio of wet weight/dry weight (W/D) of the lung tissue, the detections of MDA, SOD, MPO in the lung tissue and the total protein concentration in the peripheral blood, the total protein concentration and the NE concentration in BALF , the pulmonary microvascularpermeability and analysis of pathology in the lung.(3) Eight patients with over 30% TBSA and moderate inhalation injury were randomly enrolled in the study(+), while other 4 cases with similar conditions as control(-). Intravenous infusion of 1500ml hyperoxic Ringer' s solution were given to the patients every day and for 7 days in the former group, while equal amount of Ringer' s solution was given to the patients in the control group. The vital signs, the blood biochemical indices and the blood gas analysis of the two groups were monitored dynamically.Resultsâ‘  inhalation injury often induced metabolic acidosis and respiratory acidosis.â‘¡The indexes of PaCO2, WBC, PMN, W/D ,MDA, MPO, the total protein concentration and the NE concentration in BALF,the pulmonary microvascular permeability index inB. C and D groups were higher than those in A group, the sequence was as follows: D group>B group>C group>A group; and the indexes of PH, PaO2,SOD in injury groups were decreased than those in A group, the sequense was as follows: D group2 was significantly higher than that in group C.
