| Objective: To probe into the electro-acupuncture combined with ear-acupuncture treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).Methods: 60 patients were randomly divided into two groups. Both of them have 30 cases respectively. The observation group was treated by electro-acupuncture combined with ear-acupuncture treatment, while the control group treated by medicine. Then score of symptom was observed before and after treatment.Result: 1. Comparison of the clinical effect between two groups: among the 30 patients in the observation group, there were 14 cases cured clinically, 9 cases with obvious curative effect, 4 cases with effect, and 3 cases without effect respectively, and total effective rate 90. 00%, while among the 30 cases in the control group, 9 cases cured clinically, 5 with obvious curative effect, 9 with effect, and 7 without effect respectively, and total effective rate 76.67%. By comparing the total effective rates between the two, there was a marked difference (P<0.05). 2.
