Objective To investigate the expression of P-gp, TOPOIL GST- π and LRP inbreast cancer and evaluate its clinical significance, provide help to choose the drug of chemotherapy and predict the prognosis, obtain better therapy.Material and Methods P-gp, TOPOII, GST- π and LRP were measured in 80cases of breast cancer tissues and 20 cases of benign disease by immunohistochemistry SP method using monoclonal antibody to their protein.Results The positive rate of p-gp, TOPOII, GST- π and LRP in breast cancerwere 40%,55%,65% and 80% respectively. There was no difference of P-gp, TOPOII between breast cancer and benign disease. The expression of GST- π ,LRP in breast cancer was significantly higher than that in benign disease. Their expression was not related to gender, position and pathology stage of the disease (P>0.05), but related to clinical stage, lymph node metastasis and tumor sides (P<0.05, 0.01). The expression of P-gp in clinic stage II , III was higher than stage I . TOPOII in clinic stageIII were lower than stage I , II (P<0.05). The expression of GST- π in clinic stagelll was higher than stage I , II (P<0.05). LRP in clinic stage II , III was higher than stage (P<0.05).Indicate they act independently in MDR of breast cancer.Conclusion A combined analysis of the expression of P-gp, TOPOIL GST- πand LRP in breast cancer may contribute to the election of drug in chemotherapy and prognosis evaluation of breast cancer, they act independently in MDR of breast cancer and are related to some clinicbiological behaviors.
