Clinical Study On Burn Wounds Treatment With Bovine Amnion

Objective: To observe clinical effects of burn wounds treatment with bovine amnion and screen the best method on preparation and storage of bovine amnion. Methods: We select in randomized the patient with superficial II ° wound, deep II ° wound, autografts for removal of eschars and tangential excision, fetching skin area or residual burn wound .Using homebody comparison, every burn wound was divided into three parts and dressed differently with glutaraldehyde dealed bovine amnion, chlorhexidine dealed bovine amnion and vaseline gauze dressing. Observe burn wounds change continuously .the statistical treatment is t-test and x~2-test by SPSS11.5 software. Compare clinical effects between different groups and evaluate the method on preparation and storage of bovine amnion. Results: Clinical trials manifest, healing time in the two groups with bovine amnion is much shorter than the group with vaseline gauze dressing, the difference is significant between them (p<0.05). Healing time of different bovine amnion groups is similar (P>0.05). Burn wound infection ratio with bovine amnion groups in deep II wound and residual burn wound is much lover than the group of vaseline gauze dressing, the difference is significant (p<0.05). In other burn wounds there is no significant difference (P>0.05), and two bovine amnion groups is similar too (P>0.05). No side effect is observed in group of bovine amnion.Conclusion: Bovine amnion could make benefit on burn wounds healing, reduce infection ratio of burn wounds, could be used on different kinds of burn wounds. Clinical effect between the two groups of glutaraldehyde and chlorhexidine is similar. Whereas the latter is more easy to be popularized.
