Effect Of Mulberry Leaves Extract On Blood Glucose And Blood Fattiness Of Mice And Determination Of Effective Component

With the improvement of living standard and changing of diet, the incidence of DM and Hyperlipidemia has got higher and higher, they are becoming serious danger for humankind. Chinese traditional medicine have tremendous potential on curing DM and Hyperlipidemia. From 1980,s , experts all over the world pay attention to mulberry leave for it,s marked effect on curing DM and Hyperlipidemia. Balsam pear is also one kind of Chinese traditional medicine, having much medicine action, especially the effect of curing DM, which is always the hotspot of study. Moreover, mulberry leave and Balsam pear all can be taken as not only food, but also medicine. They all have the particular predominance on curing DM and Hyperlipidemia. In this article, We have studied the effect of mulberry leaves extract , made by mulberry leaves of different position or different representative varieties , on blood glucose and blood fattiness of mice, and the effect of solvent on the medicine action of MLE and dosage domino offect of MLE . We also studied the effect of Compounding made of MLE and BPE on lowering blood glucose and blood fattiness. At the same time ,the content of effective component of mulberry leaves and MLE have been determined. The main test results are as followed: 1. It is proved that the MLE have certain restrain effect on the blood glucose of mice fed with high-carbohydrate or diabetic mice. But the effect is affected by much factors. 2. When the feed comprise 1%-9%MLE, they all show certain restraining effect on rising of blood glucose and have certain dosage domino offect. But at the restraining effect on rising of blood glucose of mice fed with high-carbohydrate and the withstanding effect for alloxan, the dosage of 3% is most obvious. 3. The solvent have visible effect on the medicine action of MLE. The MLE made by water or 50percent alcohol-water is more better. 4.
