Objective:To summarize the experience of valve surgery combined with coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) during the past 4 years. Methods:From January 2000 to December 2004, the valve surgery combined with CABG were performed on 15 patients in our hospital with the mean age of 62 years old(39-76 years old). 4 patients were in NYHA I before operation,9 in NYHA II,2 in NYHA III. 3 patients received mitral valve replacement (MVR),7 received aortic valve replacement (AVR), 3 received double-valve replacement (DVR) and 2 received Bentall procedure. 2 patients used left internal mammary artery (LIMA), 10 used large saphenous vein and 3 used both of them. Results:One patient died ,the other patients recovered completely. 9 patients heart function are in NYHA I , 5 are in NYHA II. Conclusions:CABG combined with valve surgery can be safely performed with good results. The survival rate can be increased by avoiding non-arranged operations.
