PURPOSE: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect in treatment of lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (LEDVT)with the intervention and syndrome differentiation of TCM. Evaluate its feasibility and application. MATERIALS AND METHODS: From Jan. 2000 to Apr. 2005, 60 patients with acute LEDVT determined by contrast venography in the first affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM were treated with Integration of Intervention radiology and syndrome differentiation of TCM. Sixty patients (68 legs) with DVT involved in pulmonary embolism, inferior vena cava (IVC) thrombosis, bilateral or unilateral iliac-femoral and popliteal vein thrombosis underwent this regimen. Time of acute onset ranged from 3d to 21d. The filter and the stent were inserted into 45 and 7 patients, respectively. To observe radiographic change and the clinical appearance at lmonth and 6month after the interventional treatment. According to clinical value standard, we evaluated the clinical therapeutic effect of different groups classified by diagnostic standard of LEDVT and syndrome differentiation of TCM. Statistically, these data of comparison with intragroup were analyzed with Ridit.RESULTS: Four grades were classified from good curative effect to bad curative effect in clinical value standard. The number of cases corresponding to every grades were 48(80.00%), 10(16.67%), 2(3.33%), 0 and 56, 2(3.33%), 2(3.33%), 0 at lmonth and 6month after the interventional treatment, respectively. There were significant differences in statistics about the clinical therapeutic effect at lmonth and 6month. There were significant differences in statistics...
