| It is the viewpoint of TCM for the occurrence of malignant tumor that the accumulation of toxic heat is one of the main pathogenic factors and the conflict between the healthy and the evil energy is the main mechanism. Heat-clearing and detoxifying is the main way to cure it. It has been proved that there exist lots of heat-clearing and detoxifying herbs with good anticancer effect. Through research we have found that the symptom emerging from heat shock reaction is similar to pyretic syndrome. The malignant tumor with pyretic syndrome has a higher expression of heat shock protein70 (HSP70) than control team. So we think that the anticancer belonging to heat-clearing and detoxifying herbs is to come true through inducing the higher expression of hsp70. Recently, HSP70 has being studied generally especially in the immunology area of anticancer. Most researchers have the opinion that heat shock protein70- peptide complexes (HSP70-PC) play an important role in anticancer actually. HSP70 just as molecular chaperone presents the peptides to T lymphocyte so as to induce specific immunity to tumor cell.ObjectiveThe purpose of the research is to discover whether the malignant tumor with high expression of HSP70 induced by the Heat-clearing and detoxifying herbs could increase the specific active anticancer effect.MethodsFirst step, ascetic animal model and detection: Herba Rabdosiae Rubescentis and Herba Scutellariae Barbatae from the heatclearing and detoxifying drugs were chosen as the objects of the research, at the same time, Radix Scutellariae was chosen as the control group which has the function of nourishing qi to invigorate the spleen. First, the experimental animals were tumorgenicitied by injecting the pre-cultured Hepatoma-lines-H22 cells.
