Background: Bi-syndrome is one of the difficult and complicated diseases. Traditional Chinese Medicine have obvious advantages in its prevention and cure. The experiments of curing bi-syndrome by the physicians of the Qing Dynasty are practical and effective.They also have influences in the curing methods of Bi-syndrome by the physicians of later ages. But the research about this area focus a few physicians of Qing Dinasty. So the experiments treating bi-syndrome by the physicians of Qing Dynasty are researched not widely and deeply enough. We should pay more attention to the other physicians of Qing Dynasty. Their experiments about bi-syndrome are worth excavating deeper and arranging better.Purpose: This subject will study the documents and materials about bi-syndrome written by the major physicians of Qing Dynasty by collecting, arranging, analyzing .concluding and appraising.And it will take statistics from the medicine cases about bi-syndrome written by the physicians of Qing Dynasty. The regulary pattern how the physicians of Qing Dynasty treated and understood bi-syndrome will be hoped to get from all these works. The result of this research will be used in guiding the clinical work of TCM. It may raise the effect of the treatment to bi-syndrome and develop Traditional Chinese Medicine. Objects and Medthods: First, 22 physicians of Qing Dynasty will be brought into this research. Their original views and treatments of bi-syndrome will be collected, arranged, analyzed, concluded and appraised.
