Objective To investgate the expression and relationship with proliferation of epidermal growth factor receptor( EGFR) and PTEN protein in condyloma acuminatum(CA) ,normal skin , squamous carcinoma cell and basal cell carcinoma. Methods The immunohistochemistry(IHC) method was appliedto study the expression of EGFR and PTEN protein in normal skin tissues, condyloma acuminatum lesions ,squamous carcinoma cell and basal cell carcinoma tissues .The fluorometic assay methodto study content of EGFR and PTEN protein in the three samples.Semi-quantitative analysis of the IHC results was made by ranked data analysis , using method of H-test, the results were statistically analyzed to compare the correlation between theEGFR and PTEN protein .Results 1. In the normal skin ,condyloma acuminatum(CA),squamous carcinoma cell and basal cell carcinoma, EGFR were allpositive. We observed that the EGFR expressed strongly positive on the membrane of all epithelial cells in CA lesions and mainly moderate positive localized on the membrane of basal cells and suprabasal prickle cells in the normal skin . EGFR expressedstrongly positive most of all squamous carcinoma cell and basal cell carcinoma tissues. ( Hc = 37.07, X0.01(2)2= 9 . 210 , P<0.01, T3 is...
