Object: To study the realationship of Insertion/Deletion Polymorphism And Serum Enzyme Levels of the Angiotensin I-converting Enzyme Gene and N-terminal pro-B-type Natriuretic peptide(NT-ProBNP) in Acute Myocardial InfarctionMethods: We evaluated 38 patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI) and 32 healthy controls , compared ACE allele and genotype frequencies of each group by Chi-Square test. We also determined NT-ProBNP of serum by ELISA assay and serum ACE activity level and C-Reaction protein. Creatine Kinase-MB mass and Cardiac Troponin I. were measured too.Result: Genotype frequencies of AMI patients were significantly different from the control group. The three Genotype frequencies II, ID, DD were 5/38(13.16%), 14/38(36.84%), 19/38(50.00%) respectively in AMI patients, and 8/32(25.00%), 17/32(53.12%), 7/32(21.88%)in the control group. The ACE allele frequencies were 24/76(31.58%), 52/76(68.42%) and 33/64(51.56%), 31/64(48.44%) respectively .The difference was significant by Chi-Square test.ACE activity in serum was associated with ACE genotypes, The level of serum ACE of DD, ID, II Genotype was 61.17±15.57U/L, 48.63±13.54U/L,37.70±13.94U/L respectively. The level of serum NT-ProBNP and cTNI of the deletion polymorphism genetype was marked higher than...
