Clinical And Experimental Study Of Treating Ulcerative Colitis By Retentione-enema With Compound-Juhua Powder

Objective: To study the clinical effect and mechanism of retentione-enema with compound-Juhua powder (CJHP) in treating ulcerative colitis(UC)( damp-heat syndrome). Methods: A therapeutic group of 30 patients treated with CJHP and a control group of 30 patients treated with tablet sulfasalazine were established randomly.Their scores of main symptoms,signs and colonic mucous membrane picture were measured and compared before and after treatment. And the rat model of experimental ulcerative colitis was made. The pathologic change of colonic mucosal tissue and the change of colonic general shape were observed after different therapy. Result: The effect of the treatment group was markedly superior to that of the control group in total clinic effect,their scores of signs,symptoms of majority and colonic mucous membrane picture (P<0.05).Experimental study showed CJHP could rapidly accelerate the absorbability Of inflammation and promote the repair and healing of ulcer of rat colon. Conclusion: Retention enema with CJHP has good effect on UC (the type of damp-heat accumulation), without obvious side effect. and CJHP can be used conveniently, deserving to extending application.
