The Clinical Study On Curative Effects Of Ulcerative Colitis Treated By "Chang Lu"Enema Of Tcm Research In Colon

Purpose: To observe the curative effects of ulcerative colitis treated by " Chang Lu "enema of TCM and research the better therpay for ulcerative colitis. To study the pathogenic mechanism and characteristics of TCM of ulcertive colitis. To expound the principle of the curative effects of "Chang Lu"enema with modern pharmacology. Subjects and Methods: 50 cases with ulcerative colitis meanwhile with deficiency of both spleen and kidney Yang ,internal stasis of dampness and heat and stagnant blood of TCM were selected as the research subjects and were divided into two groups randomly.25 cases were selected as subjects treated by Chinese herbal Medicine planning treatment according to diagnosis of TCM combine with "Chang Lu "enema reserved in colon for two months ,25 cases were selected as contrasts, treated only by Chinese herbal medicine planning treatment according to diagnosis of TCM and their period of treatment were the same. Results:The total curative effects, the improvement in the clinic symptoms and colonendoscopy and pathologic histology of mucous membrane of colon of subjects were all better than those of contrasts(P<0.05).Conclusions:(1) The curative effects of ulcerative colitis treated by "Chang Lu"enema reserved in colon is good and this medicine merits further study and development.(2)The enema of TCM reserved in colon is an important therapy for treating ulcerative colitis.(3)The deficiency of both spleen and kidney Yang, internal stasis of dampness and heat and stagnant blood are the mainly pathologic mechanism of TCM of ulcerative colitis. (4) "ChangLu" possesses the effects of warming the Yang and tonifying the Qi, dissipating heat anddetoxifying, eliminating the stagnant blood and activating the blood of TCM .the mechanismof curative effects of ulcerative colitis treated by "Chang Lu"maybe concern with adjustingthe body's immune function ,improving the blood circulation , resisting the stagnant bloodand tiny thrombus, promoting the healing of ulcer ,etc. 5 There were neither toxicactions nor side effects in the treatment.
