Objective: to elucidate the relationship between PTEN and cyclin E and the arising and development of endometrial cancer by studying the expression of them in the endometrial cancer clinical pathological factors. Methods: We studied the expression of PTEN and cyclin E in the following samples: ten proliferative phase endometrium , twenty-eight endometrium hyperplasia(including seventeen simple hyperplasia, eleven complex hyperplasia), eight atypical hyperplasia, fifty-four endometrial cancer tissue by the immunohistochemical analysis (streptavidin-biotin peroxidase method) . we also compared the relationship between the variety of expression of PTEN and cyclin E and histological types, surgerical-clinical stages, pathological classifications, depth of uterine muscular layer infiltration, ascites cytology testing and the age et.al Result: 1. the positive expression of PTEN mostly located cell plasm, it is declining among proliferative phase endometrium, endometrium hyperplasia and endometrial cancer tissue , the positive rate is 100% (10/10), 89.29% (25/28), 87.5% (7/8), 55.56% (30/54). the positive rate of PTEN in endometrial cancer tissue is significantly lower than proliferative phase endometrium (P<0.01)and endometrium hyperplasia (P<0.01), it is significant difference. It has relationship between expression of PTEN and endometrial cancer histological types, clinical stages and histological differentiation. 2. the positive expression of cyclin E mostly located nucleus , the positive rate in proliferative phase endometrium, endometrium hyperplasia and endometrial cancer tissue is separately...
