Part One, theory-based study on the textbook and the textbook construction. Combining with the characteristics of the nursing science and the aims of this research subject, we defined the "textbook" from the operative point of view. Grasped the general trend of the textbook's evolution and generalize the authoritative textbook construction ideas. Part Two, Design the study scheme and develop the textbook comparing frame. We identified objectivity, historic, scientific, applicability and integrality as the basic operating principles. We constructed the textbook comparing frame, which fit the character of "fundamentals of nursing", and made specific classification and definition of the comparing elements. Part Three, Describe and analyze the comparative study outcomes. After comprehensively thinking about the factors that may involved, we proposed the suggestions for further improvement of the textbook construction on the nursing science in our country, five as following: (1)Fostering human being's integrated qualities must be the primary objective of the textbook construction on nursing science. (2)Human-centered vital spark must be exhibited in the textbook of nursing science. (3) It is emphasized to erect "student-centered" serving tenet during the course of textbook construction (4) Improve the scientific and technical level of the textbook construction.(5)Scientific notions will be the fundamentality of the splendid achievement on the textbook construction.
