Studies Of Fingerprint On Improving Fresh Herba Houttuyniae For Yuxingcao Injection And Yuxingcao Injection Quality Standard

Yuxingcao injection, sterile liquid processed from fresh Herba Houttuyniae has eliminating heat, detoxicating, removing dampness by diuresis functions. It' s indications are:Lung abscess with purulent expectoration;heat in the lung with cough and dyspnea; acute dysentery;acute urinary infection;carbuncles and sores. Based on 2005 version of 《PHARMACOPOEIA OF THE PEOPLE' S REPUBLIC OF CHINA》 volume 1 and amended Ministry of Public Health Standard WS₃-B-3264-98, the study mainly uses fingerprint analytic method established by Gas Chromatography to control the quality of fresh Herba Houttuyniae for Yuxingcao injection and improve Yuxingcao injection and fresh Herba Houttuyniae quality standard. The methodological evaluation showed the new method had better repeatability and specificity. The "improved quality standard" not only provides scientific select method of fresh Herba Houttuyniae for Yuxingcao injection processing so the quality of Yuxingcao injection can be controlled better, but also unveils the relationship between fresh Herba Houttuyniae and Yuxingcao injection. It is the first step toward "Systematic Study of Chinese Medicine Material Foundation and Its Application Development" .Furthermore,The study used this methodology to analyse the fingerprints of clinical used Yuxingcao injection on the market, found their common components, compared the fingerprints of fresh Herba Houttuyniae and Yuxingcao injection and found their connections. It can provide the scientific basis on selection fresh Herba Houttuyniae for Yuxingcao injection processing.
