AIM: To explore the methods and effects of early postoperative rehabilitation on lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion(LIDP).METHODS: totally 80 cases of LIDP were randomly divided into two groups, every group has 40 cases.40 patients in the early rehabilitative group received early rehabilitation exercises postoperatively and other40 cases in the normal control group received non-active exercises. They would be taken the clinical statistics according to three months and six months after the operations.RESULT: All 80 cases, total recently fine rate is 66.25%, total recently efficient rate is 88.75%;Total fine rate of a specified future date is67.25%, total efficient rate at a specified future date is 88.75%. Among them, future total recently fine and efficient rate of experiment group is higher than the contrasting group. The curative effect of the near future is no remarkable difference between the experiment group and the contrasting group(P>0.05).The curative effect of a specified future date is remarkable difference between the experiment group and the contrasting group(P<0.01).Compared objective signs with the preoperative, 3 months after the operation,it is the result that the straight-leg testing, Muscular strength, Knock and hit aching of spine of the experiment group and the contrasting group have a significance difference, the knee jerk, ankle jerk, obstacle of sense of the experiment group and the contrasting group have no significance difference. Compared objective signs with the preoperative, 6 months after the operation, it is the result that the straight-leg testings Muscular strengths Knock and hit aching of spine of the experiment group and the contrasting group have a significance difference, the knee jerk, ankle jerk, obstacle of pain sense of the experiment group and the contrasting group have no significance difference. but thestraight-leg testing between the experiment group and the contrasting group has remarkabledifference.CONCLUSION:1.Early rehabilitations of LIDH are obviously useful for the functionrestoration postoperatively.2.The straight-leg testing can guard against and treatconglutination of nerve root after the operation.3.The objective sign of physical examinationof the postoperative on lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion(LIDP) does not improve as muchas the subjective senses.
