| Undoubtly we are living in an aging society now, and the elderly are in great proportion of the population. The influence of the population growth is also enormous on the politics, the economy and the family of the aging society. It was not studied thoroughly and completely that what's the influences of the aging trend on the traditional pharmacy industry and what countermeasures we should take. The aging trend or the pharmacy industry was studied separately. This thesis tried to study the both questions dynamically while banding them together. Basing upon the shortage of the pharmacy industry, the changing rules of the aging trend, the drug markets and drug expenses were studied together, and the countermeasures of public policy were put forward.This thesis introduced the basic situation and feature of the aging trend in Hunan, China and the world in detail, focused on the healthy demands of the elderly and the mistakes in the aging trend. The countermeasures of the pharmacy industry were put forward to respond to the aging trend after the investigation and statistic analysis of the geriatric epidemic, geriatric medicine and fee-for-service in ten corporations and ten hospitals. With the comparison of the cases of foreign public policy to aging trend, we discussed the countermeasures of public policy from the angle of pharmacy industry and the elderly.This thesis studied the pharmacy industry with the forcasting and analyzing theory in the background of aging society. From the point of view of the public management, the aging trend, the geriatric epidemic and its medicine, the geriatric medicine pattern were forcasted and analyzed with the symbolic statistic and linear regression methods in the flat of drug selling terminal like the hospital and pharmacy enterprises. The problems existed widely in the pharmacy industry were concluded through the ways of extensive investigations and scientific forecast and analyse. The contradiction between the rapid outspreading needs of domestic drug markets and the insufficient supplies of the geriatric medicine in Hunan and China was emphasized. On this basis, several suggestions to the existing problems were put forward for the enterprises and the whole industry. At last, this thesis put forward the several supporting countermeasures for the pharmacy industry to adapt to the aging society from two sides of technique and public policy.
