Objective To investigate the factors about recent prognosis of patients with non-ST elevation acutecoronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS) ,to evaluate the relationship between plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) and the recent prognosis of patients with NSTE-ACS and the conventional factors being significant to the recent prognosis of patients with NSTE-ACS, so as to explore the inherent machanism which affect the prognosis of NSTE-ACS ,as the same time to provide an evidence for improving the recent progrosis of patients with NSTE-ACS.Methods 120 patients with NSTE-ACS were observed and analyzed .according to the follow-up result they were devided into two groups: (G1) developing major adverse cardiac events (16 men and 12 women ), (G2) having no major adverse cardiac events (53 men and 39 women ). The PAI-1 activity was measured by chromophorous substrate method .We have a study on the relationship between PAI-1 and the recent prognosis of patients with NSTE-ACS and the conventional factors being significant to the recent prognosis of patients with NSTE-ACS.Results Factors including age, a history of hypertension, the concentration of PAI-1 posttherapy and the difference between pretherapy and posttherapy, cholesterol, uric acid and cardiac troponin I( cTNI) are different between two groups (p <0.05);Multielement logistic regression analysis disclosed that age, a history of hypertension, the concentration of PAI-1 posttherapy and the difference between pretherapy and posttherapy, cholesterol, uric acid and cTNI affect the 30 -day major adverse cardiac events independently;Correlation regression showed that cholesterol associated with plasma PAI-1 .PAI-1 are higher in group of hypertension than the group having no hypertension. Conclusions Many factors including age, a history of hypertension, the concentration of PAI-1 posttherapy and the difference between pretherapy and posttherapy, cholesterol, uric acid, cTNI affect the recent progrosis of patients with NSTE-ACS. The change of plasma PAI-1 activity is probably one of the machanisms through which hypertension and cholesterol affect the recent progrosis of patients with NSTE- ACS.
