Objective: To explore the relationship of ox-LDL,sICAM -1 and occurrence and development and disease stable of carotid atherosclerosis and to supply theory support for prevention on atherosclerosis disease and reduction content of serum lipide and anti-adhesion therapeusis. Methods: The model of rabbit with carotid atherosclerosis was made by breeded hyper lipoidal feed. Campared with control and simvastain, the content of serum ox-LDL and sICAM-1 were detected by ELISA in different time point. Results: At 4 weeks end, significant increase of content of serum ox-LDL and without changes of serum sICAM-1was observed in model group(p<0.05).After 8 weeeks and 12 weeks, the content of serum ox-LDL and sICAM were peaked (p<0.01).In contrast ,the content of ox-LDL and s-ICAM were not change in simvastain group. Conclusion: These results indicate that ox-LDL and sICAM-1 may be greatly attributed to occurrence and development of atherosclerosis and used to serum maker to evaluate state of atherosclerosis.
