Real - time, continuous monitoring of glucose can effectively avoid the happening of hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. Studies have shown that there is a relation between the local tissue concentration of glucose and the concentration of glucose in the blood. So the calibrated concentration of glucose in the tissue can reflect the concentration of glucose in the blood. The most important things of the function of implanted glucose sensor are the stability and the reliability. With oxygen - based enzyme electrode sensors for glucose, the biosensor can report the concentration of glucose for a long time. The basis of the metabolic ana-lyte biosensor is the oxygen sensor. So how to improve longevity of the oxygen sensor is crucial to the manufacturing of the biosensor. To solve the problem of large, high oxygen consuming and poor stability, this study design and manufacture the column - shaped microsensor with diameter of 1 millimeter that is suit for implantation, potentiostatic measuring and signal mediate circuit. The signal is captured by PCI - 6041 data capture board and transmitted to PC. Then, data are displayed and stored by LABVIEW. When the oxygen sensor we made is tested in the buffer solution data are logged and analyzed. With silicon rubber package, the longevity and precision of the oxygen sensor are improved.Based on the column - shaped microsensor, this study designed disc -shaped microsensor array with diameter of 1cm and thickness of 1mm. This sensor array has 4 working electrode, 1 reference electrode and 1 counter electrode and this improves the reliability of the sensor system. The oxygen sensor we made has the characteristic of small volume, stable, small oxygen consuming, inexpensive, easy to made and simple hardware cir-cuit. It can be used to analyse diiferent metabolites if different enzymes are immobilized.
