Borneol named camphol in antient times, act as aromatic stimulant for resuscitatin.The name of borneol belongs with that of muskiness in traditional and herbal drugs area.Synthetized borneol contains borneol(l-bornoel) and isoborneol(d-borneol),it is always racemic mixture under normal conditions.There are a lot of pharmacological effect of borneol used singly. For example, in the circulatory system the effect of borneol is similar to Guanxinshu Mixture Pill in dog with acute myocardical infaction;which can raise the blood volume in coronary venous fistula, slower the heart rate and reduce cardical oxygen requirement;in central nerve system borneol act as two -side action, which is inhibition or excitation. In addition, borneol can anti - inflammatory, anti-bacterium, and ease pain. Particularly, borneol always used as a pharmacological agent added to a drug to increase or aid its effect. These effections have been verified by modern medicine. Reported has it that the borneol can promote some drug to penetrate the blood-brain barrier. This paper will dicuss the auxo-action of borneol in assisting the penetration of some drug across the BBB. On the other hand, this paper will describe the mechanism of the borneol stimulating the BBB's opening from angle of chemical view. The experiment was carried out in the fields as follows:1. Reviewing the relational datum, establishment of the borneol administrating model in vivo. To establish a method for determination of borneol in mice plasma and brain tissue by GC-MSn. To research the change of pharmacokinetics by administrating borneol PEG 400 solution in mice plasma and brain tissue. To analysis the borneol israpidly released and absorbed in mice plasam and the change of borneol concentration in brain tissue.2. To establish a method for stimultaneous determination of borneol and nimodipine in mice plasma by GC-MSn.To study the nimodipine change of pharmacokinetics in mice and to observe the nimodipine act of cerebral ischemia protection when the borneol is administrated.3. To establish a method for stimultaneous determination of Clindamycin in mice brain tissue by HPLC-MS. And study the auxo-action of Borneol assiting the penetration of Clindamycin across BBB in mice after administrating different dose borneol. To how much dose of borneol is administered is best to help Clindamycin penetrate across the BBB in mice,and analyse when the auxo-action of borneol is most under giving different dose borneol to mice.4. To develop a sensitive and specific HPLC-MS method for determination of amantadine hydrochloride in mice plasma.To study the pharmacokinetic course when the amantadine hydrochloride was administrated by the vein of rats.To study amantadine hydrochloride the change of pharmacokinetic when the borneol is administrated. To analyse when the auxo-action of borneol is the most obvious in assisting amantadine hydrochloride penetrate across the BBB.5. To make sure the good research model of BBB in vivo, and to screen which drug can penetrate across the BBB with the assistant of borneol. This will provide the information to analyse the construct-effect of borneol assisting which drugs penetrating across the BBB. It will help people find further and more proper drugs which penetrate across the BBB under the borneol help.and we could know which factor will influence the auxo-action of borneol.
