Predictive Equation Of Acute Cholecystitis And Ultrasound Evaluation With Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) Curve

Background: To develop a predictive equation withthe factors previously identified by multivariate logisticregression that were predictive for acute cholecystitis(AC) and evaluate the predictive values of equation,ultrasound and clinical diagnosis with ROC curve.Object: Medical records of patients who presented toright upper quadrant abdominal pain were reviewed.Methods: make database with the index and select thevariables that considered statistically significant for themultivariate regression equation. Make the ROC curvewith the results of the equation, ultrasound and clinicaldiagnosis .contrast their areas under their curves.Results: P=1 /1+ e^{[-(8.968+0.596 x1+0.533x2 + 0.197x3 + 0.621x4 +0.567x5 -4.501x6) ]} The equation had a specificity of 82.6%,sensitivity of 88.6%, and accuracy rating of 85.3%, P<0.05 for the detection of AC.Conclusions:. Our study demonstrates the equationmay be useful in detecting the attack of AC patientswho have right upper quadrant abdominal pain.
