Objective: Taking Camellia Oil into soft capsule ,establish the quality standard of Camellia Oil soft capsule ,study their heating stability, their toxicity ,their effect of reduction high serum lipid and inhibitory development of experiment atherosclerosis lesions in order to availability of Camellia Oil .Methods: Camellia seed were pressed, Camellia Oil refined and then made into soft capsule by compressing technique. In order to investigate the conten of unsaturated fatty acid in Camellia Oil, we adopt heating experiment. The maximum endurance dose was determined. In order to observe the long-term toxicity, the oil was continuously given per mouse. To investigate blood fat and charge in tissue of artherosclerosis of camellia oil soft capsule, we used animal models of high blood lipid of partridge feeding by high lipid forage.Result:â‘ By result of composition analysis we can know that camellia oil is made up of oleic acid and linoleic acid. Composition of unsaturated fatty acid in camellia oil is related to heating temperature and period of time. When thermometer touched 300, The composition of unsaturated fatty acid sharply decrease to a third of total composition.â‘¡Maximum endurance dose was 120ml/kg/d, and there was no obvious long-term toxicity in general conditions, peripheral blood picture, function of liver and kidney , and pathological histology in rats. The lipids of model group and camellia oil soft capsule groups were higher significantly than those of control group. The serum TC,TG and LDL level in the camellia oil soft capsule groups were reduced significantly compared with those in model group. The aorta plaque area percentage of camellia oil soft capsule group were lower obviously than those of model group.
