Objective: To observe the ultrastructural characteristics in order to investigate the distribution and significance of neuroendocrine (NE) in the lung squamous cell cancer (SCC) and lung small cell cancer (SLCC); The expression of OPN and CD44v6 were immunohistochemically detected to investigate the differences between them and affects of these two proteins on the prognosis in SC1C and SCC, and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical treatment and predicting prognosis. Methods: 1 Electron observation: 4 cases of SCLC and 2 cases of SCC were detected by electron microscope to observe the distribution of neuroendocrine granules. 2 Immunohisto-chemistry: The S-P immunhistochemical method was used to study the expression of OPN and CD44v6 in of SCLC and SCC. According to the clinical information, all data were analyzed by SPSS12.0 for Windows. Results: 1 The results by electron microscope showed as follows: The cells of SCLC contained lots of neuroendocrine granules, but did not in SCC. 2 The biological features comparation between SCLC and SCC: In the SCLC and SCC, the positive rate of the lymph node mitastasis and tumor...
