In this dissertation, the phytochemical and pharmacological studies were carried out on the medicinal plants of the Eupatorium odoratum and Caesalpinia minax . Before the research working, the advances in the recent research of flavonoids and pharmacological activities of genus Eupatorium were reviewed.15 known compounds (F1-F15) were isolated from the ethanol exteact of the arieal parts of Eupatorium odoratum by using the advanced preparative chromatography techniques. On the basis of the spectroscopic analysis (IR, UV, MS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, HMQC and HMBC), as well as classical chemical methods, their structure were determined as follows: odoratin (F1), dillenetin (F2), pectolinarigenin (F3), quercetin-7, 4'-dimethyl ether (F4), kaempferol 4'-methyl ether (F5), isosakuranetin (F6), acacetin (F7), dotriacontanic acid (F8), β-sitosterol (F9), daucossterol (F10), kaempferol(F11), luteolin (F12),...
