Part One Value of real time contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinomaObjective: To evaluate the effect of a new-type ultrasound contrast agent and real time contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) on diagnosis and differential diagnosis of two kinds of primary hepatic carcinoma by observing the contrast-enhanced sonographic characteristics and the blood perfusion patterns of their nodules. Methods: Thirty seven patients with pathological evidence through surgery or liver needle biopsy underwent real time CEUS examination, including 29 hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients with 34 nodules and 8 intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) patients with 12 nodules. Toshiba APLIO ultrasound system with low mechanical index pulse subtraction imaging was applied. Sonovue (Bracco) was used as contrast agent, 2.4ml per time in dosage. Sonovue was injected quickly into patients by the forearm superficial vein, and then observed the contrast-enhanced appearance and intensity of every tumor nodules in the arterial phase (0~40s), the portal venous phase...
