Introduction: Gastric cancer is one of the most common cancer in China with high incidence of mortality and poor prognosis. The main cause of death is due to infiltration and metastasis of cancer cells which affected the treatment efficiency of the cancer .Compared to Endoscopic Ultrasonography (EUS) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Spiral Computed Tomography ( SCT) is the imaging technique used mainly for staging of gastric cancer, by reason of abundant diagnostic experience accurate diagnosis, high clinical practicable value and the most clinical widespread rate. In recent years the study on the staging of gastric cancer with SCT has become the hotspot. Tri-phasic SCT with water filling method and hypotonic agent can review the invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer and perform the preoperative staging of gastric cancer accurately. There were many reports about evaluating the accuracy of staging of gastric cancer, but there has few report with regard to correlation between SCT features and operative pathology. The purpose of our study is to evaluate the accuracy of TNM staging of gastric cancer with tri-phasic SCT, sum up all kinds of SCT features involved in cancer size, enhancement, serosal invasion, lymph node metastasis , distant organ metastasis discuss the correlation between SCT features and operative histopathology. According to imaging findings, the pathological characteristics can be speculated and consequently direct operative option, constitute therapeutic project and evaluate prognosis. Method: Total 43 patients with diagnosis of gastric cancer underwent...
