Effect Of Benazepril Hcl And Losartan On Serum Matrix Metalloproteinases-1, Matrix Metalloproteinases-9, Tissue Inhibitor Of Metalloproteinases-1, Tissue Inhibitor Of Metalloproteinases-4 Levels In Patients Of Congestive Heart Failure.

Objective : To observe the influence of Benazepril Hcl and Losartan on serum matrix metalloproteinases-1(MMP-1), MMP-9, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1(TIMP-1) and TIMP-4 levels in patients of congestive heart failure, the role in congestive heart failure and myocardial remodeling.Methods : 90 patients of CHF were stratified by randomized, contrastive assigned to Benazepril Hcl group (10mg/d of Benazepril Hcl for 8 weeks),Losartan group (50mg/d of Losartan for 8 weeks) and Benazepril Hcl added to Losartan group (10mg/d of Benazepril Hcl and 50mg/d of Losartan, both for 8 weeks).The serum levels of MMP-1, MMP-9, TIMP-1, TIMP-4 before and after treatment were detected. Results :After treatment of drugs, the levels of serum MMP-1, MMP-9 significantly decreased (p<0.01), the levels of serum TIMP-1 significantly increased (p<0.01),further more, serum TIMP-1 of Benazepril Hcl added to Losartan group significantly increased than other groups(p<0.05),the levels of serum TIMP-4 had no change.
