Rutoside(Ru) is a flavonoid glycoside, it has many other pharmacological activities, such as anti-inflammation, inhibition of lipid peroxidation, improvement of microcirculation and protection of mucous membrance of stomach and so on. It has been confirmed that Ru (subcutaneous injection, sc) has preventative and therapeutic effect on experimental acute pancreatitis(AP). In this study Ru was administered by continuous venous infusion (CVI) that is a usually clinical way to administration. We observe the protective effect on multi-organ injury in AP rats. We study the protective effect. Trough observing Ru effect on phospholipaseA2(PLA2), methylenedioxyamphet-amine (MDA),myeloperoxidase(MPO), superoxide dismutase (SOD), nitric oxide synthase (NOS), nitric oxide (NO), thromboxane B2 (TXB2), 6-keto-prostacyclin1α (6-keto-PGF1α), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-a), intercellular adhersion molecule-1 (ICAM-1)and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kB), we study the mechanism of protective effects of Rutoside on multi-organ injury in experimental acute pancreatitis. The main contents are as follows:1. Protective effects of Ru on multi-organ injury during experimental AP.The model of AP was induced by retrograde injection of Sodium Taurocholate(STC) into bilipancreatic duct in rat. Ru (15,30,60mg/kg/h)was administered by CVI after the induction of AP. Ru (60 mg/kg/h)increased the arterial PO2, Ru (15,30>60mg/kg/h) decreased levels of blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine...
